The partners in the SunsHyne Corridor, five transmission system operators (TSOs) Snam, TAG, eustream, NET4GAS, and OGE have submitted applications to declare their infrastructure parts as Projects of Common Interest (PCI) for the first Union list under the revised TEN-E Regulation Trans-European Networks for Energy (europa.eu).
The submitted applications of pipelines stretch accross five countries,connecting areas of high potential for green hydrogen production in North Africa and along the corridor with places of expected significant industrial hydrogen consumption in Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Southern Germany.
The project partners have received several support letters from companies along the hydrogen value chain as well as governmental support from ministries.
